Natural products, hoof boots, anti-inflammatories: follow this guide to protect your horse effectively.

When choosing your care products, opt for something natural. It doesn't have to be the most expensive, but never go for cheap products whose ingredients look chemical. (Engine oil, tractor grease, olive oil, etc.) MUST NOT BE APPLIED TO HORSES' HOOVES!

Store your products in a suitable place to prevent them from deteriorating and going to waste.

If you have doubts about the origin of foot infections (bacteria, viruses, fungi), try to keep dedicated equipment for each horse and clean and disinfect it regularly to limit the risk of spreading.

If your horse is lame, take photos and videos and send them to us. It can help us pinpoint the origin of the problem.

No anti-inflammatories if you suspect an abscess: it delays ripening and healing, and the farrier or vet should be consulted first.

If your horse tends to develop heel bulb lesions and loses its shoes too often, consider fitting it with properly sized hoof boots: they must cover the entire back of the hoof, make contact with the ground, but not ride up when the horse puts its foot down.

There is a multitude of care products available, but not all of them are suited to every situation! Remember to ask for advice to target your needs and to choose the right products.
